Pronator is the journey of two Little League stars that are all in for climbing all the way to Major League Baseball. Talent is not the question.

Sammy’s father does more than defend his youngest daughter when her husband abandons her and their newborn without warning or explanation. A powerful Mr. Costello blacklists the deadbeat everywhere except slaving over a greasy griddle. A story within a story follows the hunter and the hunted when the estranged husband snaps.

Reviews

Jim Landry has a writing style that puts you right into the scene and gets under the skin of his characters. This story is for everyone, but especially baseball fans, or if you like the idea of a parent-child read. It is a feel-good story that follows a couple of inimitable kids from Little League to the MLB tier. There is enough drama interjected along the way to keep you pinned and pegged just behind your smile. The characterizations and dialog are incomparable. It is a dynamite tale of fiction: I’ve always had a fascination with what it might be like behind baseball happenings, and my questions were answered. The ending in particular is excellent. I can see young adults as well as boomers getting into Pronator
